Explore Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

Spend the day in serenity and in nature. A 45-minute drive from Canberra is Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, home to wallabies, emus, kangaroos, koalas, birds, platypuses, and Australian reptiles. Across 54 square km, the reserve provides a safe haven for animals, and an educational experience for humans.
Join rangers to learn about Aboriginal culture and heritage, plants, animals and the habitats of the reserve. Let kids of all ages explore the Nature Discover Playground. Don’t forget to pack a picnic lunch or bring some food for the BBQ’s to enjoy the scenic picnic spots.
Enjoy wheelchair accessible walks through The Sanctuary, a large wetland ecosystem, or the Eucalypt Forest. If walking and hiking is a hobby, choose from trails ranging from 15 minutes to day-hikes, from easy to hard.
